Want To Help

What financial support do we need? In 2005, over 120 individuals and businesses contributed to Strings in Schools, and we met our fund raising goal. However, we still need instruments! Many of our children cannot afford to rent instruments, and we want them to be able to play. Your contribution can help purchase a school-owned instrument that can be loaned to a child in need.

Please consider making a contribution, as you are able.

Your contribution will be made to the Tuscaloosa City Schools Educational Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) corporation. Dollars will be dedicated to the Strings in Schools program. You will be sent an acknowledgment letter to be used for tax purposes.

Donors contributing $1000 or more will be recognized as Founders of Strings in Schools on a plaque to be displayed in the City Board of Education building.

Here's what your contribution can do

  • $ 350 - purchase a violin
  • $ 500 - purchase a viola
  • $1000 - purchase a cello
  • $1500 - purchase a string bass
  • Any amount you choose - we will buy music or other supplies!
